Tarun Nayar

tarun nayar amazing music

Tarun is a beautiful person. He is wise beyond his years. He is good looking. He plays a mean tabla. He produces amazing music and amazing musical events. Damn, is there anything this guy isn't on the ball with? If we ever hear of something, we'll post it, because nobody should be this sexy.

Tarun produced music for the Scales of Poi DVD, as well as the poi video When Circles Dream. We're hoping to work with him more on future projects. In the meantime, you can learn a (little bit) more about him on his music website.

Michel Gingras

Michel of YogaYak, and friend of playpoiMichel shared the Vancouver Poi Studio with Nick Woolsey for several months, back when Playpoi was just starting out. Michel moved into the studio to film yoga instruction for yogayak.com. He brought a whole bunch of lights and cameras and other equipment into the studio, and helped Nick with several video projects, including the filming of The Scales of Poi.

Michel and his partner, Jenn, are beautiful people, and their support and frienship went a long way towards making the whole poi studio experience a benefitial one. They will always be considered family, although they have been living abroad this past year.

Alien Jon: Poi Superhero

Alien-Jon-Headshot-with-sphere

Alien Jon is one of the world's most amazing poi spinners, and after hanging out with him for 3 weeks in Costa Rica, he's become a good friend and I consider him a big part of THE PLAN.

I can't come to the USA for another 1.5 years, but Jon can! I can honestly say that JON KNOWS MORE ABOUT POI THAN ME! (I, however, am more handsome). I want him to come collaborate on more poi community and video projects, so I'm promoting his upcoming poi workshop tour to help him raise money to come to Europe this summer, where we'll take things a step further :)
