Poi tour finished. In Halifax, resting.

nickbengranny.jpgWell, I didn’t blog as much as I exptected. Uploading photos to this blog program is a bit labor intensive, and I often felt too tired after catching up with email. I’m now visiting my family in Halifax, and will head back to BC next Monday.

The tour was really something. I had a lot of emotions to process after shutting down the studio, some of them not so happy and posibive. The miles of road and the company of Ben and Jocelyn was a good situation for that. Meeting all the incredible people and making such great friends was a blessing. Each stop was a real treat. We loved all of you! So many people to thank. I’ll mention Tracy, Ashvin, Cara, Alex, Sarah, Graham, Holly, Lindsay, Ananda, Amber, and Chirine for now. You were all wonderful hosts and friends.

Much poi was spun. Much silliness was had. Many chocolate chip cookies were consumed. Ben drove the entire trip so Jocelyn and I could work on video editing and other projects. Ottawa was the most attended workshops, which surprised me.

Revelstoke won for the most-desireable-place-to-move. It’s a beautiful little town as you enter the rocky mountains in BC. Calgary won for most intesting place to discuss peak oil with loveable oil industry marketing experts. Cara’s mom won for most adoptable mother. Winnipeg has a very cool fire spinning night on a front lawn. Parliment is a fun place to play poi with statues. Montreal is a great place to visit the Sufis.

After Montreal I visited Fay (my girlfriend) in Quebec. Then I met with Ben again in New Brunswick where we visited our grandmother and aunt. It was great to see them. They are loveable women. Now we’re both home in Halifax. Coast to Coast. Next time I’ll do it from Tofino to St. John’s.

I’d write more, but I’m tired. More coming…
