FIRE PHOTOS:

I haven't been taking a lot of photos myself, but I'm lucky enough to be surrounded by brilliant people much of the time, and Jon, Dan, Nao, and DSC_6462.jpgMarykristn have been kind enough to let me post their videos on my flickr account. Please have a look, we have some lovely photos.

See the Thailand Fire Photo Set. A special thanks to Jon for all the work he put into helping us capture such beautiful pictures!

See the complete Thailand Spinny Silliness Set. (Make sure you check these out as well. No fire but it will fill you with love :)

happy birthday.jpgMY BIRTHDAY!

Jan 31st was my birthday. I'm the big 33. Ooooh. That sounds so... mature! :)

If you want to give me a little birthday present, you can check out the Poiticipate Page and pick something. Links to the site are always welcome. We're hovering around 12th place in google for the search term "poi," and we'd love to be top ten.

IMG_2375.JPGGENERAL UPDATE:

Most of the group left Pai for Laos before Christmas. I stayed behind with a few others as I felt I'd committed to the Green Spirit Festival and then to Penang to get a 60-day visa. There were several bumps in this journey (long story), and several near-sleepless nights, and by the time I got to Koh Phangan on Jan 5th I had slipped into one of my "artistic moods." I threw myself into yoga, running up and down hills, flushing light through my chakras, and doing as much positive thinking as possible, which eventually started balancing me out.

IMG_2418.JPGMeanwhile, everybody else slowly showed up and went about being amazingly beautiful people (it just blows my mind, the people I get to hang out with). It culminated with a couple of fire shows for the local restaurants (thanks to the inspiration and organization provided by Clare), which helped us raise about 7,000 Baht for a Thai charity. Hurray!

IMG_2331.JPGThis week most of the group took off to Bangkok, either to catch flights home, onwards, or for passport/visa/career things. A few others went back to Pai, where it's still pretty cold at night and in the mornings... and I'm checking out a yoga centre here on the Island. If I like it I'll stay a while, otherwise I'll probably head back up to Pai as well. Unless this Agama Yoga place keeps me around ;)
