We want to inspire you, to help you avoid pitfalls, and to get you out playing with us. All lessons and workshops focus on exercises and concepts that build motor skills from the ground up. The goal: Total freedom of movement, dance, and creative expression.
We also attend other poi related events and maintain a list of websites offering instructional resources and gear.

Poi Retreat in Bali: May 9-22, 2010
THE VISION:
2 full weeks of poi dancing, dance, yoga, celebration, creative expression, and explorations of a beautiful and unique island. Choose the first or second week, or do both! (May 9-15 and May 16-22)
ABOUT BALI:
Bali is part of Indonesia, and lies about 8 degrees south of the equator, in the Indian Ocean, to the east of the Java and north-west of Australia. It has an ancient and very unique Hindu culture. Measuring only 140km by 80km, the island is dominated by towering volcanoes, rice terraces, and more temples than you could count!

We started working on this DVD 17 months ago, and it was the most epic, gut-wrenching, and life-changing project I've ever been part of... And now it's done! And it's good! Did I mention that I'm excited!?
Over two hours of intermediate and advanced poi lessons and travel shenanigans, along with the best fire dance that I've ever captured on video. I'm so excited I don't know what to write. BUY IT! BUY IT! If you buy it then I can buy a video camera, and produce all those other videos I've written!

Definition of "The Basics"
Here is a video on our definition of "the basics." Please have a look at this if you are considering any workshops or classes with Playpoi.
This is obviously an evolving idea. I'm just putting it up to help people decide which workshops to come to. For the more advanced workshops, we really need you to be playing with all the basics freely, otherwise you won't have that much fun at the workshop.
