We want to inspire you, to help you avoid pitfalls, and to get you out playing with us. All lessons and workshops focus on exercises and concepts that build motor skills from the ground up. The goal: Total freedom of movement, dance, and creative expression.
We also attend other poi related events and maintain a list of websites offering instructional resources and gear.

We started working on this DVD 17 months ago, and it was the most epic, gut-wrenching, and life-changing project I've ever been part of... And now it's done! And it's good! Did I mention that I'm excited!?
Over two hours of intermediate and advanced poi lessons and travel shenanigans, along with the best fire dance that I've ever captured on video. I'm so excited I don't know what to write. BUY IT! BUY IT! If you buy it then I can buy a video camera, and produce all those other videos I've written!

I have happily received a copy of Encyclo-Poi-Dia 2, the new DVD by Zan and Jon. It covers lots of material that neither of the Playpoi DVDs covers. If you want to wrap your head around floaters, inswing, CAPs, and lots more advanced concepts, I can highly recommend this DVD!

Definition of "The Basics"
Here is a video on our definition of "the basics." Please have a look at this if you are considering any workshops or classes with Playpoi.
This is obviously an evolving idea. I'm just putting it up to help people decide which workshops to come to. For the more advanced workshops, we really need you to be playing with all the basics freely, otherwise you won't have that much fun at the workshop.
This also gives you a good idea of what you will learn in the beginner series :)
