Home of Poi has launched their answer to Flowlights: NinjaPoi! Roughly the same cost of a pair of Flowpoi, NinjaPoi have the advantage of a wider range of colors within each poi. They are also brighter than the old flowlights. This looks like true competition for the Flowlights.
Meanwhile, Flowtoys has their own answer to NinjaPoi: G2 Flowlights! All the new lights have "superbold" mode, which appears to be just as bright as the NinjaPoi. Flowlights have the advantage of being modular. I.e. you can use your flowlights as poi, staffs, or any other toy offered by Flowtoys.
Flowtoys has also just launched their own poi-specific string (FlowCord) along with super-soft, single-loop handles. Put together with ball-bearing swivels it's a perfect poi leash solution: Flowtoys FLOOPS. We're not sure leashes can get any better!
Both options take rechargeable batteries. We particularly like the way Flowtoys set up their cords, as it's very minimal. Meanwhile we like the fact that NinjaPoi have very accessible buttons.
