THE VISION:
A week of poi dancing, meditation, and deep personal transformation at Damanhur, one of the world's most active spiritual centers.

ABOUT DAMANHUR:
Damanhur is an ecovillage and spiritual community situated in northern Italy. It was founded in 1975 by Oberto Airaudi and a group of devotees who built the Temples of Humankind in complete secrecy with their own hands. The Italian authorities ordered the work destroyed because it had been constructed without planning approval. This order was subsequently revoked when the authorities saw the temples with their own eyes. Today Damanhur is a permanent community of over 1000 people.

RETREAT FORMAT:
4 hours of poi lessons with Nick and Alien Jon, plus nightly play sessions.

Daily excursions to the Temples of Humankind, the village of Damanhur, and the Italian countryside.

Note: There is a fee to enter the temples, so we are offering a "poi only" retreat price along with the full retreat price.

Lotte Linssen has invited me to teach a weekend of workshops in Holland, near Nijmegen.

Each day we will offer 2 big workshops, one on poi foundations, for all experience levels, and the other for spinners who know all the basics already.

The workshops will be followed by food, music, fire spinning, and festivities! We've booked our own private camp ground. It's looking like a little poi festival!

Alien Jon and I will be offering poi workshops in England from July 15th to 26th. Jon is one of my favorite poi spinners in the world and has contributed much to the art form. He's an amazing teacher and a great guy and he will inspire you on many levels!

This just in! My amazing friends at Flow Temple are starting their next round of classes in poi, staffs, meteor, etc. I love what these guys are doing! If you live in LA or the area, check out their promo video, and flow on! :)

The European Juggling Convention is the world's biggest juggling event. It draws hundreds of poi spinners, and thousands of jugglers, together for ten days of workshops, performances, collaboration, and celebration. Most of my European friends say it was their favorite event last summer in Europe, and this year is looking just as good, as many of my best friends and favorite poi artists are going.

This year the EJC is in Vitoria-Gasteiz, in northern Spain, come join us!

Poi Superhero Alien Jon is touring the west coast, sharing his poi superpowers with all.

Jon has consistently blown our minds with his poi abilities and teaching abilities. Take his classes if you can!

Jeremy at La Escuela Del Sol has invited me to lead poi retreats at their poi/surfing/yoga school in Montezuma, Costa Rica! We're planning one more for March 1-7th! Meanwhile, I'm also organizing a poi retreat in Bali, April 19th - 25th.

ABOUT BALI:
Bali is part of Indonesia, and lies about 8 degrees south of the equator, in the Indian Ocean, to the east of the Java and north-west of Australia. It has an ancient and very unique Hindu culture. Measuring only 140km by 80km, the island is dominated by towering volcanoes, rice terraces, and more temples than you could count!

RETREAT FORMAT:

Sunday May 24th:
Check-in, introductions, and a play session in our beautiful studio!

Monday - Friday:
Daily poi lessons and nightly play sessions, with excursions to explore the volcanoes, the beaches, the temples, and the other riches of Bali. Most days will look like this:

• Yoga
• Breakfast
• Morning Poi Lessons
• Lunch
• Afternoon excursion every other day
• Afternoon poi session

Just in: Natasha of the amazing Poi Pixies in Victoria has invited me over to teach two days of advanced poi workshops, July 26th and 27th, and to perform at the Luminara Lantern Festival on the 26th. The workshops are selling out quick, so BOOK NOW if you want to attend. We're all getting excited about my performance on Saturday night, so please come if you can. It's going to be a very special performance, and a great festival. The more friends in the audience the better! :)

Special news: My yoga-teacher friend Adrian Wirth and I are teaming up to offer a Poi and Yoga Retreat in the Alps, August 30th to September 4th, at the Balmeggberg, an incredibly beautiful retreat center in Switzerland.

Each day we will offer a curriculum of yoga classes by Adrian and poi lessons with me. There will also be free time for exploring the mountains, eating good food, and generally enjoying ourselves. The Balmeggberg is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. It's a huge old farm house on the side of a mountain in the alps, with several large yurts to provide room for yoga, poi, and other activities.
