THE VISION:
A week of poi dancing, meditation, and deep personal transformation at Damanhur, one of the world's most active spiritual centers.

ABOUT DAMANHUR:
Damanhur is an ecovillage and spiritual community situated in northern Italy. It was founded in 1975 by Oberto Airaudi and a group of devotees who built the Temples of Humankind in complete secrecy with their own hands. The Italian authorities ordered the work destroyed because it had been constructed without planning approval. This order was subsequently revoked when the authorities saw the temples with their own eyes. Today Damanhur is a permanent community of over 1000 people.

RETREAT FORMAT AND SCHEDULE:
4 hours of poi lessons with Nick and Alien Jon every day, nightly play sessions, and daily excursions and guided meditations in the Temples of Humankind..

Day 1: 22 Sept ~ Arrival

Day 2 – 6: 23-27 Sept
• 4 hours of poi lessons with Nick and Alien Jon every day, plus nightly play sessions.
• visit to Damanhur capital (Damjl) and arts and research center (Crea)
• free meditations in Damjl
• visit to Temples of Humankind (OPTIONAL, not included in program fee)
• meditation in the Temples (OPTIONAL, not included in program fee)
• free time for optional activities such as visiting the stores and laboratories of Crea, meditating with the Selfic paintings, sauna and massage (by reservation), pranotherapy and regeneration cabins (by reservation)

Day 7: 28 Sept ~ Departure

PREREQUISITES:
This will be best for those who can play freely with the basics already. If you don't know all the basics, don't worry, I've just put up our beginner series, so you have time to finish learning!

TRAVEL:
Damanhur is about 50 km north of the city of Torino. Check out the Getting to Damanhur Page for your travel options.

ACCOMMODATION and FOOD:
We will be staying in shared accommodation at the Damanhur Guest House, with a shared kitchen to prepare our meals. There are also several small restaurants with yummy organic food.

*There is now the option to camp for those who wish to save money.

COSTS:

Note: For this retreat you will be paying the poi tuition and accommodation/Damanhur fees separately.

Poi workshops are sliding-scale: 180 - 350 Euro (you choose what you can afford, but please remember that we won't make enough if everybody pays the minimum)

Accommodation and temple excursions:

Option A) 6 nights accommodation in the Damanhur guest house plus all optional group meditations in the temples: 290 Euro

Option B) 6 Nights Accommodation in the Damanhur Guest house without optional trips to the temples: 185 Euro

Option C) Camping in your own tent without optional trips to the temples: 115 Euro

TO REGISTER:
You will need to send a *non-refundable* 100 Euro deposit to book your space. You can send the deposit via paypal or credit card. If you really don't have either, just write and we'll work something out.

WHAT TO BRING:

• A flashlight
• Camera, videocamera, etc
• All your practice, LED, and fire spinning toys
• Your imagination!
