Hey friends on Vancouver Island: I'm coming to Victoria to teach a two-day Beyond the Basics poi class! This is for those already flowing with the basics of poi and wishing to explore more advanced spinning.
We will look at all the types of moves of advanced poi, including:
- Transitions
- Rhythm and timing
- Footwork
- Expressive movement
- Flowers
- Isolations
- Pendulums
- Hyperloops
- Whirling and spotting
Please see our definition of the basics to make sure you are ready for this class. We need you to actually check! I.e. make sure you can do the windmill in both directions!
Time and Place: Classes are from 2:00 - 4:00pm at Sunset Studios: 401 Herald Street, Victoria, British Columbia V8T 4R4
