Gé of Light and Motion is bringing Nick to Frankfurt to lead a 2-Part Mastering the Basics Workshop on the 4th and 5th and a 2-Part Beyond the Basics Workshop on the 6th and 7th.
"Mastering the Basics" 2-Part Beginner Workshop (Oct 4th and 5th)
This two-part workshop is for those still learning the basics of poi. We will look at the core skills of planes, body movement, and rhythm required to learn poi moves.
Although we will learn several moves in the process the real objective is to make sure you know how to keep learning!
For these workshops you must already know at least the forwards 3-beat weave. If you're a complete beginner you can make a pair of poi and follow our online poi beginner series to get started.
"Beyond the Basics" 2-Day Intermediate Workshop (Oct 6th and 7th)
This two-part workshop is for those who are flowing with all the basics and beginning to explore advanced spinning (but not for those who already consider themselves advanced spinners).
These classes will focus on poi movement in the body, flowers and CAPs, rhythm and timing, plane manipulation, and fun things to do with pendulums and hybrids.
To make sure you are ready for this class please see our definition of the basics. Please note that it is not fair to the other students to show up for these workshops without knowing the basics.
Cost of 2 Workshops: 40 Euro. Cost of 1 Workshop: 25 Euro.
It is not possible to take all 4 workshops or mix and match levels. You are either beginner or intermediate -- not both :)
