Burning Dan was a great friend and supporter of Nick and Playpoi. He came to play at the old Poi Studio long ago and went on many adventures with the team.

While he's no longer with us, you'll see him around the site in videos and photo albums, and his spirit will always be a part of us. Check out his legacy at flowtemple and hitrecord!

2010 Bali Playpoi Retreats: Go!

Fire spinning in Bali!  This video was filmed on the final night of our March 2010 International Poi Retreats and features participants, instructors, and friends.

One part training, two parts play, this video highlights awesome moments during our March 2010 International Poi Retreats in Bali.

Costa Rica is such a beautiful and inspiring place! While we were there in 2009, we decided to shoot this video.

It features Burning Dan, Alien Jon, Baz, and Nick spinning to the music of Reza Moosavi and the cinematography and video editing skills of Matthew Boyd.

Dan inspired us to make this video. Remember that you can never go back to being a complete beginner again, so enjoy it while you can!

We tend to spend our summers in Europe touring around doing workshops, meeting exciting people, and making poi videos.  Many of these videos now appear in our DVD, Adventures in Poi: Moves. 

Special photos shoot from Pai and Koh Phangan in the Winter of poi in 2006-2007 where many artists come together to train and make light.

When we were in Aotearoa (aka New Zealand) during our Poi Pilgrimage: New Zealand, Australia, Japan, we made friends with a young Maori woman.

In this video, Migoto shows us some traditional Maori poi dancing.

In the winter of 2006, Nick went on a huge trip to Australia, New Zealand, and Japan. He took pictures and blogged as he went, and we bring you the complete photo set here.
