The Great Canadian Poi Adventure Tour

DSCN4690_1.JPGOk, here's the context: I just had the most taxing year of my life. One year ago, upon inheriting $10,000, I tried to open the Poi Studio, because I thought the world needed a Poi Studio. It was a grand vision. It was going to be a beacon for the poi community, a great research centre for a movement art with great potential. What a plan! LakeLouise.JPG

One year later I am completely burnt-out and $15,000 more poor. I have put every waking moment into this, and much of my sleep as well (although there wasn't much of that). I've had some offers to teach poi workshops in a few different Canadian cities, and as I'm getting tired of hauling garbage up stairs (the way I usually pay off my debts), my little brother, Jocelyn and I are embarking on THE GREAT CANADIAN POI ADVENTURE TOUR! Yes, it's a bit crazy, but what else am I going to do? Sometimes you can only fight adversity with creativity. Will it makey money? Probably a little. I find these tours incredibly exhausting, and there is no way this will make as much money as a tour to California, but since I've been banned from the USA it's time to explore my own country:) DSCN4746.JPG DSCN4708.jpg
