March 10th to 23rd: Two-weeks of poi and staff retreat in Montezuma with Srikanta

March 23rd to April 6th: Two-Week Poi Love Camp with choreography and poi teacher training modules!

All the events include yoga with Banyan!

This is an example of an easy to build "poi ninja training station." Make one at home, or come join us in Costa Rica where we'll have this and many other stations set up. :)

There has been a rush of great videos from this summer's poi, flow, and fire events. This compilation of footage from Burning Man shot and edited by Adam herscheid shows just how much the art form has matured. Don't be intimidated by the length. The music is great and there really is 15 mintues of footage all worth watching. Heck, I'm going to watch it a few times! 

This year's Swiss Poi and Yoga Retreat was awesome! I can't believe we had such a good time even with all the rain! Franziska put this video together using a piece of music we all connected with (It's Nuvole Bianche by Ludovico Einaudi).

Next year's Swiss Poi and Yoga retreat will be the second week of August. If that's too far away consider joining us in Costa Rica :)

Vojta put together this epic complication of clips from a whole bunch of awesome poi videos. It's quite a nostalgia trip of the last ten years of the art form! It also shows how far the skills and video work have come.

This video by Vojta Stolbenko made me smile! It also inspired me to start making more videos! It's amazing to see the next generation finding their flow. This video has something beyond poi moves!

My friend Annika is involved with an awesome social circus project called The Rickshaw Circus, part of The Afghan Mobile Mini circus for Children (MMCC). The general aim is to support circus arts as a therapeutic tool and to work with children and youth affected by war, natural disasters and other forms of trauma. They teach juggling, poi spinning, clowning, acrobatics, contact juggling, dancing and theatre, next to other educational programs. The MMCC has worked successfully for over ten years now in Afghanistan, but they are facing major problems in their funding now, as the troops pull out of Afghanistan. That's where we come in!
