PREREQUISITES:
This will be best for those who can play freely with the basics already. If you don't know all the basics, don't worry, I've just put up our beginner series, so you have time to finish learning!
TRAVEL:
Bali's airport is in Denpasar. Pondok Pisang is about 1.5 hours to the Northeast. We will send a driver to pick you up. Transportation around Bali is typically easy and affordable.
Most people can get a 30 day Visa-On-Arrival for $25USD when they arrive at the airport. It depends on what country you are from, so please double-check by calling or writing your local Indonesian embassy or consulate. You will definitely need a passport valid for at least six months from the date of your arrival.
To fly to Bali, you can sometimes save a lot of money by booking an international flight to Singapore or Kuala Lumpur, and using jetstar.com to fly to Denpasar. Vayama.com can be a good way to find cheap flights. Note that you can currently find flights to Singapore from London for $650USD! We've recently found very affordable flights to Denpasar using cheaptickets.com.
You might also want to talk to your doctor about vaccinations. Bali is generally pretty safe, and there is no Malaria, but only you can decide what protection you need. We recommend buying a Bali guidebook to make sure you've thought of everything.
ACCOMMODATION:
During our Poi Retreat we will be staying at the beautiful bungalows at Pondok Pisang. It can't get any better than this! We will have 2 or 3 per beautiful bungalow, each with balcony, a huge bathroom, and surrounded by beauty!
FOOD:
Pondok Pisang will be catering for us, serving 3 delicious and healthy meals per day, using ingredients grown locally in East Bali.
When exploring beyond our retreat center, you can usually have a meal for $2 at a local Balinese Warung, or for $5-10 if you eat at a fancy western restaurant.

STILL DECIDING?
If you're still thinking about it, here are some steps to help you make the decision:
First: Check the cost of flights on sidestep.com, Vayama.com, or your own favorite flight site.
Second: Find a friend (or two) to join you.
Third: Say to yourself the magic words: “Why not?” (But don’t answer it, just book your spot instead, it's a great way to get stuff done!).
